By East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) provides Janazah support services to meet the religious and cultural needs of the DFW Muslim community. This not-for-profit support service ensures that Islamic funeral rites are carried out under the supervision of EPIC’s religious leadership, with logistical and licensed oversight provided in collaboration with a local funeral home.
EPIC’s Janazah support services include:
* Assist and collaborate in body transportation with a licensed funeral home.
* Ghusl (Islamic body washing) conducted at EPIC’s premises.
* Private viewing facilitated at the masjid.
* Salat-ul-Janazah (funeral prayer) held at the masjid.
* Assist and coordinate in making burial arrangements at a local cemetery.
* Religious counseling and guidance by EPIC’s leadership.
* Community announcements and updates regarding Janazah arrangements.
* Facilitation of Azza (condolence gatherings) and Dua (supplications) after congregational prayers.
EPIC assists and collaborates closely with a licensed funeral home to comply with state regulations while maintaining the community’s trust that all religious rites are handled by EPIC. Burial services are conducted in one of the nearest cemeteries in the area.
